For Zoe, Creationz Dance Academy is so much more than a dance school. It is a piece of her heart, built from a belief that every child deserves to know they have a place where they belong.

Zoe has loved dance for as long as she can remember. From being the young girl standing in a studio dreaming of where dance might take her, to becoming the founder and Principal of an award-winning dance academy, her journey has always been shaped by one simple belief: dance has the power to change how someone sees themselves.

But Zoe also knows that not every child finds it easy to feel like they fit in.

That is why she created CDA.

She wanted to build the kind of dance school she would have wanted herself — a place where children don’t have to be the loudest, the most flexible, the most confident or the most experienced to feel valued. A place where differences aren’t something to overcome, but something to celebrate.

As an IDTA-qualified teacher and MIPATH member, Zoe is passionate about providing high-quality dance training while never losing sight of the person behind the dancer. For her, a successful class isn’t simply about learning choreography. It is about the child who walked through the door feeling nervous and leaves standing a little taller. It is about the dancer who finds their confidence, makes their first friend, discovers something they are brilliant at, or finally believes they can do something they once thought was impossible.

As a neurodivergent teacher herself, Zoe understands the importance of creating an environment where dancers can feel accepted for who they are. She has built CDA around inclusion, kindness, confidence, community and opportunity, with the belief that every dancer should be given the chance to shine in their own way.

That vision has taken CDA from an idea into a thriving dance community on the Isle of Wight, welcoming dancers from 18 months through to adults and creating opportunities far beyond the studio — from theatre performances and competitions to carnivals, community events and unforgettable experiences.

CDA’s work has since been recognised with Dance School of the Year 25/26 – South of England, the Vectis Radio Community Award for Island School/Club Achievement of the Year, and a place as a finalist in the UK Dance Awards for Excellence in Inclusive Dance Practice.

But while Zoe is incredibly proud of those achievements, the moments that mean the most to her cannot be measured by awards.

They are the moments a parent says, “I’ve never seen them this confident.”

The moments a dancer who once wanted to give up suddenly doesn’t.

The friendships that begin in a dance class and become something much bigger.

The child who walks into the studio wondering whether they belong — and eventually realises they always did.

Zoe didn’t create CDA simply to teach people how to dance. She created it to give people somewhere to belong, something to believe in, and the confidence to discover just how much they are capable of.

And that is what she hopes every dancer who walks through the doors of Creationz Dance Academy takes with them — not just memories of the dances they learned, but a belief in themselves that lasts long after the music stops.
